About Rit Parbon

The name Rit comes from the idea of our heritage, culture, and its own unique rhythm. The main goal of Rit Parbon is to create a bridge between tradition and modernity. We do not simply want to preserve culture; we want to rediscover our heritage, celebrate it, and present its every little aspect from a contemporary perspective. To us, heritage is not simply something from the past—it is something that changes and evolves with every generation and, most importantly, continues to live in new ways.

The main purpose of Rit Parbon is to explore, preserve, and celebrate different aspects of Bengali culture—our clothing, music, food, art, crafts, festivals, stories, and most importantly, the traditions that have been practiced every day in Bengali households. We want to present these traditions to the younger generation in new and meaningful ways.

One of our most important goals is to bring the unique and often overlooked aspects of our culture to the attention of a wider world. We will not present traditional culture only through conventional cultural practices; instead, we will transform heritage into a new experience through fairs, contemporary exhibitions, modern creative practices, live performances, band music, storytelling, and other engaging events. We want everyone to experience our culture, reinterpret it in new ways, and share it with others. In this way, Rit aims to connect local Bengali heritage with contemporary mediums, introduce our culture to new audiences in Bangladesh, and present it to the wider world.
